BUG on Bertice Berry

I guess the main question I have here is WHY THE HELL WOULD THE BUG SHOW UP ON THIS PROGRAM IF HE WASN'T A FULL ON HOOKER?

Anyway, you can see Sandy be full on nuts, you can see Patti be gorgeous and you can see the closest thing you'll ever get to a Family reunion. If you like it, ask and I'll post more.

To this day I wonder what Sandy's explanation to Patti could have been, and how the hell she got it out of her mouth.

Craziness to you from the Col.

Col Scott, thanks for sharing..
Do you happen to know what year that was?

=)

Wow. I haven't seen any Sandy footage since the 70's. She's a total lunatic - a 'don't make eye contact with the nutball on the sidewalk' kind of lunatic.

Col -

I saw a couple of clips of the 'Manson' documentary on you tube - I'd love to see the rest of it if you have it.

Thanks

BUG was right on? Ummm, no.Why even do the show?

As far as the Manson Doc, the owner sues people for even having it these days.

Email me your address and I'll mail you a dvd burn. Anyone posting it could end up sued easily.

can we go back to mirroring posts so that the moron who posts and then deletes stops either one or the other?

Hey, anyone of those Manson followers on this blog?

I knew Bertice Berry in the days before her tv show.....interesting!

Wow, what a nut job. Sandy gets lost in her own explanations and has to do a few u-turns and never quite gets it to a point of understanding. Was Sandy saying when Patti first confronted her about why her sister had to die, well she wasnt suppose to be there? I know that there was a call to Cielo from Spahn that day, why wouldnt some one have her expound on that. Get her going and just maybe she might really say someting important.

Cat, I missed you. Have you been ok?

It's just amazing how much Sharon and Patti looked alike.. Debra really doesn't look like either of them.

Ahhh, always great to see Heaven! Yes it is amazing how much Sharon and Patti look alike! Beautiful women.

Cat and Col, I agree with you both about the Bug. There are far better venues he could have respectfully gone on to spin his HS. I do agree that he is well spoken, he should be, he is highly educated.

Cat, I don't know who the green jumper wearing mansonite is. Does anyone know?

This is the video I was talking about a while back that had my jaw dropped to the floor, actually the whole entire show. Sandy is mesmerizing.

The restraint that Patti showed was remarkable. If it were me, it would have taken a monumental superhuman effort to stop myself from jumping over Bugliosi and smacking the shit out of Sandy and her bobblehead - sorry Salem :)

Sandy's Hollywood spiel seems to me a fancy way of blaming Sharon for her own murder. Sharon got in the crossfire of the Family's "War With Society" because she was in Hollywood and that's just tough shit Patti.

the dude sitting between sandy and bugliosi is george who was supposedly sandy's kind-of-boyfriend who put up the original atwa website and who acted as an intermediary between charlie and sandy for a few years because sandy was not permitted to visit Manson in jail.

CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hiya girl! yeah good point, Bertice berry started to call her out on that but kind of let it go because there was so much going on with the other panel members.

On the one hand she's lecturing about the media victimization of women from a feminist perspective and on the other hand she's criticising Susan, Leslie, and Patricia for claiming they were victimized by a man, calling their claims "politically correct".

She seems to be doing some intellectual somersaults. Any wiggling and bending that needs to be done seems ok to her as long as Charlie comes out smelling like roses.

In other interviews I've seen/read Sandy similarly describe Pat's comments about the murders (one less car, you wont be sending your son off to war, WAR on Leno's tummy, etc. etc.) and she talks about it with wide eyes and just a little too much excitement, like she's proud of the statements and their symbolism.

Sandy's stance is two-pronged. It would be one thing if she were just prancing around insisting on Charlie's innocence. It's another thing entirely that she seems to approve of, get excited about, and defend the actions of the killers.

someone please quietly email and name and password for the evil Turner board I need to see something

It's always struck me as interesting that Sandy thinks she knows everything there is to know about Charlie, the "family" and about TLB. I mean, clearly she knows more than I do about all this stuff - she was there afterall and she knew these people.

BUT, I wonder if it's ever occurred to Sandra Good that there might possibly have been things going on at the ranch with various people about which she was completely clueless.

I mean, she even says in this very interview (not included on the youtube link) that SHE WAS THERE AND THEREFORE KNOWS WHAT MANSON SAID TO TEX AND THE GIRLS BEFORE THEY LEFT FOR CIELO. But we all know she WASN'T there, she was in jail.

Oh wait I forgot she meant "I was there in SPIRIT". But did her SPIRIT record meeting minutes on a yellow legal pad? How else would she know what was or wasn't said between Charlie and the killers that night? The truth is she doesn't know because she wasn't there.

agnostic monk said...

my guess is that no the conversation did not take place. I can't imagine them meeting for lunch and talking about Charlie and the murders over chicken salad and iced tea. Patti just wasn't having it from Sandy in that interview and I doubt she'd want to expose herself to more of Sandy's rambling rationalizations and excuses.

If Sandy really knew all the supposedly secret mini-motives surrounding these murders, I have little doubt that we would have heard her screaming about it for years.

Thanks Colonel, please post more... maybe the beginning of the show?

If Charlie was so innocent and non-violent, according to Sandy, then why shoot Bernard Lotsa Poppa?

That was before Gary, that was before everything.

Bertice Berry was and is still a very popular speaker on college campuses. She has a PhD and can be described as a motivational type person who specializes in college issues, diversity, race, etc. I work in Student Affairs at a college and she has been here a couple of times and I've seen her do her thing at conferences as well. She got her tv show when practically everyone had one, so I bet someone was betting on her being the new Oprah, but I don't think her career in tv lasted all that long.

OK, Sandy is nuts, but was this the only time the BUG has been confronted publicly about making his millions off of lies?

That is a good question; and you see how they just skipped it. I'm thinking it was skipped over because Sandy was not coming off as a stable person. Maybe if someone a little less nutty confronted him, there would be answers. I felt there were a couple of good questions that came from Sandy that were ignored.

From the Fresno Bee, August 7, 1994:

Twenty-Five Years Later, She's Still Loyal to Him

Sandra Collins Lives Quietly in Hanford,
Waiting for the Day She Can Visit Charles Manson

Tom Kertscher

Sandra Good once used a red-hot bobby pin to burn an X on her forehead, then used a needle to worsen the scars, all in a show of devotion to Charles Manson. Twenty-five years later, Good is still devoted to Manson.

For the last three years, Good, who now goes by Sandra Collins, has been living quietly in the Central Valley, fighting to see the man convicted of masterminding the murders of seven people.................

.............Collins, now 50, lives in an apartment complex in Hanford and spends a lot of time with her companion, George Stimson, who has become something of a Manson follower. The scarred X is still visible on her forehead.

............Collins, slight of build and soft of voice, appeared with Stimson on "The Bertice Berry Show" in February, maintaining Manson's innocence (1994)

Actually it didnt get skipped over. A little further along in the episode after the panel of teenage Manson-sympathizers, Bugliosi is given a chance to respond to the accusations by Sandra and the "Charlie Dont Surf" t-shirt guy who is in the audience. I cant recall exactly what Bugliosi says but he does his best to smack them down.

The first time I saw it, I started wondering to myself, maybe Bugliosi wasn't "lying" per se about Charlie's control and influence. It sounds like he really believes it to be true.

No one has to make Sandra out to be a "nut", she does it fine all by herself.

I'm sure she is smart, lots of nutty people can be smart.
