John Bis a Fucking Idiot

Now we all know, or at least SHOULD know, that Wikipedia is a stupid website that is run like an online role playing game. ANYONE can edit it, even special needs children, so therefore NOTHING can be taken as accurate. Its founder recently had his semen encrusted shirt auctioned on ebay, so that gives you a good profile of the place.

That being said, it takes a special kind of idiot to spend a lot of time playing on Wikipedia and becoming an editor. A fucking idiot. This of course is today's topic of discussion, John B.

John has anointed himself the Manson expert on Wikipedia, because, well he read HELTER SKELTER once. And of course, like the fucking idiot he is, he believes it to be an accurate depiction of what happened.

So Helter Skelter, the bullshit theory that even the Bug's fellow prosecutors believe is bullshit? John buys it.

And so he writes this article
on Wikipedia. And it is just so full of bullshit that I want to throw up and then throw up some more. But don't point out that even fellow prosecutors thought Bugliosi was full of shit. No, then this lame ass bitch Wildhartlivie will show up and change things and get you banned.

So what we have is a wrong, provably stupid article that is treated as encyclopedic by the web and thus more and more people are told INCORRECT information by this guy.

It's kind of a shame. But then I guess if people treat Wikipedia as truthful they get what they deserve.

Gosh, he hasn't even the rumor and innuendos correct. Wasn't it the Black Panthers, not the Black Muslims?

Picking Knits:

At ColScott's Tate-LaBianca Murders blog, you commented on a Wikipedia article's statement that Black Muslims were the militants Manson envisioned as playing a role in Helter Skelter. Not being one of the blog's "team members" (if that's the term), I am unable to post a comment there, but I have sent ColScott the e-mail below. You will see it addresses your point.

PS In sending you the present message, I've made the links below active. They were not active in the original message, sent to ColScott.

Being unable to post a comment at your blog directly, I ask you to put the following on the comments page of your entry entitled "John Bonaccorsi is a Fucking Idiot":

To A.C. Fisher Aldag: Because the editing of Wikipedia is an exercise open to virtually anyone with an internet connection, I have found that it is often best to avoid detailed clarifications of comparatively-minor points. Every little change that one attempts to make to a Wikipedia article tends to invite would-be assistance from careless or uninformed persons who make a mess of things. Accordingly, a statement that is, at least, arguably accurate is often best left alone. A case in point is the question whether the blacks who would be prominent in Helter Skelter would be the Black Muslims. In trial testimony, which you may read at http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/manson/mansontestimony-w.html, Paul Watkins spoke of the "Black Muslims." When clarifying Linda Kasabian’s testimony that Manson’s intended placement of Mrs. LaBianca’s wallet in a black neighborhood was calculated to incriminate "some sort of an organized group," Vincent Bugliosi said, on the other hand, "Presumably, the Black Panthers" (as you may read at http://www.2violent.com/closing_argument21.html). In Tex Watson’s autobiography, Chapter 11, which you may read at http://www.aboundinglove.org/sensational/wydfm/wydfm-011.php, is this: "[The white establishment] would slaughter thousands of blacks, but actually only manage to eliminate the Uncle Toms, since the 'true black race' (sometimes Charlie thought they were the Black Muslims, sometimes the Panthers) would have hidden, waiting for their moment." As I say – to keep things simple, in a Wikipedia article that I already sensed would draw attention (as it eventually did) for being too long or detailed – I avoided going into all of this. I simply used "Black Muslims," which, to repeat, is what appears in the Watkins trial testimony. If you yourself think the point worth clarifying at the Wikipedia article, you might want to change it there. Wikipedia’s editing procedures, if you are not familiar with them, are fairly simple. The links I’ve provided you, above, should enable you to make the change with necessary footnotes.

Yet more:

I've revised the Wikipedia article to address the point discussed below. The article now states that Manson said "militant blacks" would play the role in Helter Skelter. A parenthetical remark follows to explain the Watkins trial testimony (Black Muslims) and the Watson autobiography (Muslims or Panthers). Although I prefer not to use parentheses at Wikipedia, they allowed me, in this instance, to avoid the kind of rewriting that, as I indicated below, can draw unhelpful assistance there.

The statement (that the militants would be Black Muslims) actually had been bothering me for some time. A. C. Fisher Aldag's blog comment, as you see, has prompted me to change it.

My reply:

Actually, Mr. Bonaccorsi, Charles said nothing of the sort; however, due to trial testimony publicized in various books, it has entered the national consciousness as fact. Charles presumed that Black Panthers would attack the Spahn Movie Ranch, since he shot Bernard Crowe, whom he assumed to be a Panther (Crowe wasn't) and then several of the youngsters took his statement out of context. Charles listened to Helter Skelter for the same reason that I listen to Hollywood Undead... because the kids play it over, and over, and OVER...! Anyway. Thank you for correcting your Wikipedia entry.

AC- you're still batty!

In any case, one cannot cite Watkins in any efficient study of the case- he was throwing Charlie under the bus while he was taking over the Family at the same time.

Why not add a statement such as this on another Wikipedia entry:

"In his own statements, Charles Manson has repeatedly denied Bugliosi's assertions that The Beatles influenced his philosophy. He has acknowledged that the "kids" in his camp were fond of The Beatles, but Manson himself was never a fan. He has claimed his tastes were more toward the likes of Hank Williams and other beer hall balladeers from the late '50s and early '60s."

Col: Listening to too much Undead has that effect on people.
