BUG should be ashamed
Here's another photo from UCLA... in this one we see Charlie also growing his hair back. Look how freaking short the guy is. THIS is the guy BUG made out as the evil mastermind. I mean buy a clue people!!!!!
Curious argument, Col. Are you suggesting that people's innate goodness or badness correlates with their stature?
I think CM's height may have been over exaggerated (or should I say under exaggerated?). I believe his driving license recorded his height as 5’ 7” – not tall, but no midget either.
It is a common ploy to assign very tall guards to prisoners in high-priority trials when there is a chance they may be seen/filmed by the public, in order to ‘diminish’ them in the public eye. And that’s why that picture is so striking. Block out the guard on the right and the effect disappears. Maybe that guard is 6' 6" or more?
You truth-seekers should bear in mind that this kind of propaganda works too. Most everyone 'knows' as a fact that Hitler was really short - in fact he was 5’ 9”. And, despite whatever you may have been told, Napoleon was just under 5’ 7”, and above average height for men in France at the turn of the C19th.
Propaganda likes to disguise these things, but none of them, CM, Hitler or Napoleon was really short (or really tall) – just average height sort of people, whose height would never normally be commented on.
And, wasn’t it Bugliosi that said he was 5’ 2”? We can understand that he would want to make CM look small. And I’m guessing you would be the last person to want to believe what Bugliosi says.
Maybe I’m wrong here – I’m just quoting what I’ve read.

LOL, platform shoes. And logistically speaking, and from a slightly different perspective, I would tend to believe that they would want to make the "boogeyman" look bigger, by assigning people in a smaller stature.
By assigning this huge guard, it dwarfs Manson, who is short to begin with, makes him look like a twerp, and maybe invokes sympathy from people because how can this dwarf of a man be the boogeyman..
Just a thought. Anyways, pass the platforms and some love beads.
Manson was fairly short anyway. Something like 5 ft 3 I think.
So if I were standing next to him, he'd look pint sized lol
Tex was much taller.. I think he's a little over 6 ft.. So I've never seen pictures of him where he appeared dwarfed by the guards...
But in reality, short people can be just as dangerous as tall people. Murderers aren't bound by height. But in this case, Tex was far more dangerous than Charlie...
Have a look at http://www.atwa.info/license.jpg (of course it could have been obtained with false information).
And it is alleged that two mug shots reproduced in the hardback copy of Helter Skelter (see http://www.atwa.info/mugs.jpg to see the photos in question) show the same height (5' 7") - I lent my copy to a friend so can't check.
If so, as these are police shots it would add credence.
The case of the shrinking and expanding Charlie continues. I also found http://www.walk.com.au/pedestriancouncil/ images/elements/contentpics/manson2.gif - which gives him a height of 5' 6".

(height about 18 inches)
It's funny that the world feared Manson. They should have feared Tex...
And I wonder where they would get the really really tall guards for Tex?
