How hard can it be to keep mass murderers under wraps?

It's hard to know how I would feel having not had any experience with a close family member being murdered, but I think it's probably some sort of therapy for family members to make it a mission to oppose parole at every turn. Perhaps they feel that is how they would honor their deceased relatives.

In New York, the system has me puzzled, as there have been many high profile cases where a convicted murderer was sentenced to a term of like 20 years to life, has served their term without any problems, even obtained degrees and teaches other inmates, has had exemplary behavior, and in one particular case, was even granted parole by the boeard, but then rescinded it after family members of the victim complained about it.

Being the philosopher thinker that I am, I have to question the ahole concept of parole in then in the first place....if the board can grant it, then just revoke it...for whatever reason...then do we really have a parole system in the first place? Is there really such a sentence as 20 years to life, or is it just life? And why would anyone perhaps agree to a plea bargain with this type of sentence if there is no gaurantee whatsoever that they actually will be paroled given they do everything right?

The only thing that sits wrong with Ms tate and her thinking, when she went to CM's parole and he didnt show, she thought it was becuz she was there, which isnt true.
Manson's most recent and tenth parole hearing was April 24, 2002. He refused to attend it -- allegedly because he insisted upon not attending the hearing shackled and the prison would not allow him to attend without handcuffs.

and Uncle Ace, the comment about CM being unbalanced , maybe this will help ya.
*I never thought I was normal, never tried to be normal. Normal runs in that little rut down there. I don’t know nothing about being normal. I‘ve been in jail all my life, man. I lived on the handball court. This guy raised me up. All the men in the joint raised me up, told me what to do, what was right and wrong, told me where to sit down , where to stand up, I just did whatever I was told. You know, and I got to the end of it and I just turned around and said "Wow, far out." *

Did anyone catch Stephen Kay on 48 Hours last night being interviewed along with Steve Hodel regarding his father being the Black Dahlia murderer. Kay is convinced that the father did it. Kay hasn't improved with age.
:::shudder:::
