Manson Women Part 4
Needless to say if you haven't seen this show you should have and shame on you
Pat and Leslie really come off as though they've come to accept the horrificness of their crimes and the responsibility they bear. They truly seem like mature, reflective, down-to-earth women with very little personal connection to their past other than regret and shame. Their responses to the questions seem direct and completely forthright. It is so interesting how people can change (especially with food, shelter, and therapy paid for by me, LOL).
Manson, on the other hand, spends most of this interview pretty much evading Diane Sawyer's questions.

D, pretty much all of it when it pertains to any culpability he might bear.
Oh hey hey whoa there little lady I don't know nothin' bout no murder - even though yes I did leave them there to do their thing knowing what they had done the night before at Tate's and after filling their heads with apocalyptic visions of the world ending, on LSD no less.
Whoa baby whoa I don't live in the world of expectation I live in the NOW.
Yeah I did use the wimmins as whores to attract valuable men, aint that what wimmins is for?
I did have them thinking I was Jesus Christ just by acting like myself, all men are Jesus Christ, baby.
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I walk the line, dig?
that said, I actually think the Johnny Cash lyric was extremely telling. Quite possibly one of the most honest and straightforward statements Charlie has ever made about these events, so in hindsight it doesn't really count as an evasion.

Of course the Monk paraphrases for fun.

1994 was a busy year....guess it was the 25th anniversary that prompted all the TV coverage.
It was also the year 10050 Cielo Drive was torn down. (Anyone know the exact date that happened?) I loved that house and I hate that it was destroyed.
=^..^=

Somehow I dont think that's how these kids interpreted it at the time, and my guess is that he was perfectly aware of that.
