LOL

Life after Manson huh?

"Life Because of Manson" would be more fitting no?

OK - here comes a rather strong unsolicited opinion

I read the long strange prison trip of LULU - or whatever it was called- and it was easily the worst book about this case that has ever been put on paper. The idea of spending any more time learning how these women grew up to be model prisoners and thoughtful, intelligent adults is about as fun as the idea playing beer pong against the wall alone with O'Doul's...

Besides- she was locked up- what choice did she have, but to behave if she wanted to continue having clink lesbian love, friendship, and whatever small privileges she would have to settle for...

in her "Life After Manson"

lol

They say Kreny is the one who has matured the most, and is the most remorseful...

She is also- along with Tex- one of the most savage people who ever lived. She personally did more damage than anyone in the crimes we study - save Tex. Also like Tex- she fled and tried to hide, showing she knew what she did was wrong...

How do we feel about Tex? do we care if he helps train animals or lives a model life behind bars?

So this is different how?

I say F them both and rot in Hell..

But I will check this out :)

I think she is truly remorseful and rehabilitated. She is not hiding behind jailhouse religion - she is being authentic I believe. While she did do her part in the crimes, she did not do as much as Tex and Tex has now just changed one Jesus for another. Still hiding behind a messiah.

Hi Donna :)

I too think She is truly remorseful and rehabilitated.

I think she said in her own words once at a parole hearing the person she felt she harmed the most was herself, but with so much time alone to think about it over the years- in addition to the normal growth a person experiences as they age- I agree by now she probably realizes that she hurt many people and has legitimate regret and sorrow for doing so...

But so what?

That is what she was supposed to do. That is the point of her life sentence. That and to deter others. She is doing just what she was intended to do. Sacrifice her freedom for the rest of her life and then bitch and moan about it loud enough so others will hear how bad it sucks and hopefully not do any of the same things...

She should show us how mature and responsible she has become by keeping quiet out of respect for those she harmed... Do her good for others and pay her price for the VICIOUS things she has done.

And she was just as bad as Tex. Maybe worse. She did not have as many actual thrusts with the knife- but she was the only other one who went batshit nuts stabbing people and on both nights, and for a girl- she held her own as far as numbers just fine. Only a certain type of person could repeatedly stab a begging person and the only two who we know for certain did that on those two nights were Tex and Kreny. Those scenes never get that gory without her. The other girls weren't capable for all the talk, and Tex couldn't have done that much damage alone. LULU and Susan certainly weren't capable of what Kreny did...

But even Tex stopped at that. Maybe even worse- Kreny wrote in blood. Kreny danced around and laughed- making jokes in front of the victims families at the trial. Kreny was the very last one to give up on Charlie after they got locked up. Tex was trying to distance himself from Charlie right after his arrest. Tex was quiet and solemn in court.

Kreny is older and smarter, and possibly really sorry for those she hurt.

She is also right where she belongs and should stay- for the rest of her Life after Manson...

In my opinion ;)

P.S. - I agree with you about Tex. He is the worst bastard on the planet.

But to me if your a legitimate rehabilitated person- like maybe Kreny is, or if you are legitimately still bat-shit crazy like Charlie still is after all this time...

either way-

when you break into someones home and torture them and kill them, then put a tuning fork in there belly and twang it. Write mesages with there blood...

You have to pay your price for doing so.

If you do a good job at paying it, and learn your lesson- good for you!

You can have an extra donut in the cafeteria

But when you start bragging about it, and trying to draw attention to it...

One wonders if the good intentions have secret motivations and therefore maybe not actual good intentions at all.

I agree that she's remorseful and rehabilitated...but I don''t see any point to measuring her actions on two back to back nights of brutal murder against Tex's actions...like she did her part but Tex did more. They're all killers.

St C said it best, she invaded private homes, she tortured, she killed, she admits to twanging a fork in Leno, she wrote on the walls. She chased down Abigail and kept stabbing even after Abigail said I'm already dead. Like Tex, she ran away afterward, but
unlike him, she didn't put on an insane act or rely on jailhouse religion, she laughed and worshipped a photograph of Charlie Manson on the wall of her cell for years.

When someone commits such vicious and brutal acts, there's not a lot of point to saying one did less than the other.

I used to feel sorry for her, but now I think she's creepy.

Marliese as always I am graced by your presence :)

And your right...

Bad idea for me to compare the amount of carnage two very bad people did to innocent others.

It is all bad.

and, again, regardless if your really reformed- faking it through religion- or still blatantly bat-shit...

you have to pay for that kind of bad when you helped cause it...

in my opinion :)

Donna and Marliese- I respect yours! ( your'es?)

Hi St, thanks but I was agreeing with you! We hear it a lot from others, not you...the idea that it's time to let the women out because while they were bad enough, Tex 'did more.' Doesn't matter. Legally. Forty five years later, I think old leslue is finally realizing it's not about the stab wound count.

Here is a little trick when you're wondering about your or you're....
Your is possessive...belonging to someone.
You're is the contraction for "you are"...so when you're not sure, try 'you are' in your sentence and if it makes sense, you'll know....:)

Thanks! :) I hope all is very well!

Lol good one, life after Manson. Has good old charlie died? it is because of her inextricable connection that she is even the subject of discussion, never mind a film. Who believes this crap ? wait i will start the litany ...

Hm I think it doesn't matter.becoming regiolous doesn't make you a better person but prisoners know how to play the game and I don't blame them for trying. In all honesty Bobby, Bruce and Leslie are the only one's who deserve to be free. Not because they are good people now, not because they are sorry for their deeds, not for any reason other than they paid their debt to society and are no longer a threat. Tex and Katie have a long way to go before their debt has been paid and they are no longer a threat. Hiding behind 'Manson is the most evil man alive' is also hiding behind a messiah( or an excuse).

Bobby deserves to be free??!! Are you kidding?

Bobby is the most sadistic of them all.
