The Col Faces GoRightly So You Don't Have To

Adam GoRightly (not his real name anymore than Adam Gabriel is Clem's real name) is a poseur. He is one of these guys that fakes living on the edge. There's the other guy Brian Butler who is the same thing. Brian once interviewed Bobby and then tried to charge people to watch the interview- without Bobby's permission or knowledge. They are counter culture groupies.

Adam's first book on Manson was called THE SHADOW OVER SANTA SUSANNA PASS ROAD. Also known us "I read a lot of books and now I regurgitate them, look how slick I am." He promoted that book with a message board that he used to ban the Col from because the Col knows more than he does. I think the Col is even mentioned in one of the Chapters. Because when you are vomiting up information, somehow the Col matters to your readers.

Anyway he just published a new book. It is not actually published so no trees died for this shit. It is called A WHO'S WHO OF THE MANSON FAMILY. You can waste your money for it HERE.
It is only digital because that is what all the cool kids are using these days.

Never mind that fact that the entries on The Family are more thorough on CieloDrive.com or even the evil Mark Turner's site. FOR FREE. Or that you can learn 100 times more on Cat's site- this fucker only includes "Family" so he doesn't even address scores of other TLB subjects. Let me just give you three random reasons why this fucking just sucks it.

1- Mary Brunner is followed by Charlene Cafritz. Mary is THE founding member of The Family and the mother of Charlie's son. Cafritz is some society psycho who maybe visited the Ranch. Cafritz gets a longer entry than Mary. Fuck off Adam.

2- "Bernard Crowe lived at 7008 Woodrow Wilson Drive near Sunset"- I mean, douche, Sunset is actually miles (plural) from this house. Ever hear of Google Earth? You barely write anything in this book anyway shouldn't it be ACCURATE? Take five minutes and check the fucking map, ADAM!

3- "Haught's life was snuffed out and he truly became a Zero"- I mean fuck you sideways Adam- hard. You don't get to sound like Hunter S. Thompson or even sucky Ed Sanders without being talented and you aren't.

Book Report- Dear Class- this book could have and should have been so much more but GoRightly is just after your money. Stay the fuck away.

Now this is the writing of the Col we have come to know and love. I bought GoRightly's first book and learned nothing I didn't already know. In the meantime, I did get inundated with tons of heresay and random silliness. It was a waste of money. Won't happen again with this author. Fool me once....

I was going to post a comment, and maybe I still will, if you all just pony up enough bucks for me to do so...

If one of youse just get ahold of the seecrit Illuminati decoder ring and nose hair clipper, you too would know the Truth Behind the Manson Murders (tm).

Are we really supposed to take anyone with the name "GORIGHTLY", seriously ? Hahahahaha !

The joke of the name fits with the joke of an author.

It's not even a good FAKE name.

I'm glad the Col (which is an excellent fake name, by the way) continues to expose the charlatans of T-LB.

AC, ask Charlie to tell you where it is and then you can tell us and we can all finally know !

I know we are somewhat sparse here lately but providing links sell (crappy as the book may be).
I for one am waiting for Cols tell all.

Hahahahaha! You could slice paper with that wit of yours Col., sir.

These people that think they know so much and put a book together to make money need to be told just how much they don't know...
so thanks Col.

I learned a lesson about anything Adam Gorightly puts together after wasting money on that mess of a book Santa Susana. Aside from the dumb content, he can't spell and has a not quite middle school level understanding of basic sentence structure. Same goes for his proof readers and editors...apparently.

So thanks for telling people, Col.
Just another junky book filled with nothing new except maybe the mistakes!

Bug's book told a story from one jaded personal interest. Sanders' Book told a story with wild insinuations to make the story more in line in what he wanted it to be about. Gorightly seems to have been satisfied to put out the "cliffnotes" version with a few added pages at the end dedicated to MK- Ultra and a few other points neither of the other books went into any detail about. I still am waiting to read something from someone who was, at least partially present, that gives some ring/air of truth to it as to the real why that - Garry, Sharon,Jay,Steven,Gibby,Voytek, and the Labiancas had to die the way they did. The one person who has inside ties, and who has kept his integrity through this is Bobby. His site has been teasing a book for awhile. I am very curious to see what he has to say now that he seems to be realizing that his situation probably wont change and he has nothing to loose.... AS for Gorightly's book - it is for someone who has a two hour flight on a plane and wants to get brought up to speed on the case by someone who has given a "highlight" review of all the other relevant books on the case...

BB was incarcerated prior to the Tate and Labianca murders. He knows more than your average person on the street, but I'd bet Bruce Davis has more first hand information.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on a book from Beausoleil. He doesn't sound like a man who has given up on ever being released (check out his website), and I think it is possible he might get out. No way he is going to blow it with a book.

The book in question is every bit as bad as described. Sort of like every paranormal show on cable TV. Queue spooky music, raise questions and come to no conclusions.

I do ready Bobby's site- and he has been asking for awhile if it is worth the effort to keep up the parole dabacle- and this was before he started getting 5 year denials. Both he and Leslie are both getting longer denials than ever as they get older, and that - to me- makes a strong case that neither of them are going anywhere. Also on his site is an excerpt from this proposed book, so he must at least be working on it... AS you said- he wasnt part of TLB, and he has already admitted to Gary H so he has nothing to loose really, but he could clear up some of the inside stuff regarding some of the connections. I personally think the real motive lies with the Laurel Canyon Connections, and Bobby did know about that. The music insiders, what the connection was between Manson and the Tom Mix House- The drug dealing element and who knew who... there are a lot of things in that area I would love to know more about. Bobby was in the middle of most if it. From Frank Zappa- to Being in the same movie as Jay Sebring- to Terry Melcher - Bobby knew the deal on this stuff...

I agree with you about Bruce- as I have said on this blog before- he is absolutely the best chance, but he is too close- he actually gets votes, and even made it past round one... Maybe when he ages a little more he will start to spout out of frustration???

St. Circumstance, I see your points on his being very connected to certain aspects of the case that are very important, and I also think I may have misinterpreted what I saw on the website. I read it as "maybe the time is right for me to be vocal about deserving parole", but maybe it really means "being quiet is getting me nowhere, why not unload publicly".

He has made several comments that lead me to believe he is getting fed up with the waiting...

" the carrot they keep dangling just doesn't look as tasty as it once did"

or something close to that- these type of lines tell me he is resigning himself to the fact he may be stuck. Also- he has added a new essay - " Incarceration Nation"- in which he basically questions the entire system he would be counting on for his release...

I have heard he is asking his closest friends if he should continue the parole fight...

My question would be- what other options does he have? he isn't going anywhere, and unless there is some other option I am not aware of- why wouldn't he keep trying? What does he have to loose

Unless - he does have some other things/information to release- which would all but completely close the door on his chances once put out there????

This quote from his website confirms what you said, St. Circumstance. He does imply that his knowledge has it's limits and that he is going to confine himself to what he heard and saw.

I am diligently at work on a book that will account for the events of my life. What I can speak to with regards to "the various murders" must needs be limited to what I actually know about them firsthand. I'm not going to invest energy in writing a lot of conjecture for my biography. But you can trust me to be forthcoming with the truth about what I know.

must needs be limited?

This is my first time on here so please bare with me. Honestly that's the 1st bad review I've heard for Shadows over Santa Susana. Actually ordered this book for my birthday 6/28/70. I'd like to hear your recommended reads concerning Charlie so far Helter Skelter 1st addition of The Family personally loved it. I see your not a Sanders fan either you have to admit it was better then the Bugs book. Just finished up Restless Souls. What's your opinion of 6 degrees of Helter Skelter. Once again I really enjoyed it
