Greg King Tells Lies

I read Greg King's book. It was overwritten but I liked it. It told more about Sharon than I knew so that made it a plus. I don't think it sold that well and that's a shame. Perhaps that is why he's having hunger flashes and flat out lying on line. He posted the following to findadeath- and KTS reposted it and sent it to me-

Please don't believe all the garbage you see thrown around about Debra. Yeah, I have a personal bias here, but I can also guarantee I know more about her and her life than some anonymous internet source. Well Greg, I believe you know what she wants you to know, sure...

She's interested in fame? Hardly. She tries to stay out of things unless approached for interviews or to attend parole hearings or to try to stand up for the rights of victims. Otherwise her life is very quiet and secluded. Of course. That's why she's on television every two months over the last three years. They DRAG her. Sure. And why is she showing up at parole hearings that don't apply to her? Her mother and sister didn't. They didn't need the attention.

She lies about Sharon's murder? Again, nope. As I've said, Debra has never read anything about the murders and only knows what she hears from others or from rumor, just as with her mom. Yes, she has said some erroneous things but not maliciously but rather from genuine lack of knowledge, and she has no interest in reading accounts of her sister's murder or her autopsy report. Until a few years ago she didn't even know that Sharon's face had not been disfigured.Except some of the lies involve HER actions before, during and after the murders. How do you splain that one?

She was disinherited? Again, nope. I won't talk about the ins and outs here, but suffice it to say this is just plain wrong-and I DO know. Hey Greg- BZZZT- wrong answer. I've seen the will. Debra was disinherited. Her father never wanted to deal with her again. And spitefully, she refuses STILL to bury him. She doesn't even know Patti's kids. YOU DON'T KNOW so kindly STFU son you sound stupid.

Debra is one of the most amazing, genuine people I know, and no one posting crap about her has any idea, believe me, of her real life or experiences- not by a long shot. I know something about Pic Dawson and Deb's real life experiences, does that make me someone?

You can believe me or not, as is everyone's right, but you should consider just how much familiarity anonymous people on the internet asserting things about her have with the actual details of her life. Well I stand by the above points- you're welcome to refute them with facts Greg.

On the other hand, perhaps I should recall that Greg used Nelson as a primary source and even promoted his book on Nelli's site. That seems to say it all.

To say Debra doesn't know the facts of the case is total BS...

Debra has spent years going to parole hearings and has sat thru hours of people discussing the facts of her sisters death...

She also knows exactly what happened...

Debra is also a victim of the CM gang back in 69, let's please talk more about CM and his responsabilities in the murders...

It is amazing that a lot of people in the world think that CM actually murdered ST etc...!!!

true ...it is not the case, but he is as much responsible for those murders as the one who actually did it and that is exactly what CM wanted in advance by sending his best/worse friends to CD...
he knew in advance, he could one day say it is the others fault...

but his mistake was to tie up and torture the defensless La Bianca couple...
nobody will ever trust what ever eventually he has to say...
too many lies...

I'm once again cutting Debra Tate some slack. She was a victim, she lost her sister to violence, and she was enmeshed in drugs and a horribly false Hollywood value system -- or lack of values -- when she was quite young. It's possible that she was pysically abused.

No, of course I do not condone Debra meddling in parole hearings, or lying to the media. And yes, she should blame those who actually harmed her family, rather than others who were only periferally involved. But trauma can do awful things to one's psyche.

And guys, geeze, ragging on someone's physical appearance is perpetuating that plasticine, commercial, Hollywood media ideal of false womanhood. Only in LA-LA land would Debra be considered ugly and fat. Here in the rest of America, she'd be quite average. Starving women and injecting them with toxins isn't beautiful.

Rather than dogging her looks, I'd encourage Debra to get counselling for her rage and grief.

I would like to know more about Debra and Pic Dawson's relationship when Debra was 16. Would The Col be kind enough to direct us to where we may find some info? As always, thanks!

Ok, so I read the 10 things about Pic post. A couple of things: First is the Col alleging that Debra had a relationship with Pic because she hung out at Cielo Drive on weekends? And secondly, where in the hell did it come from that Pic was ever held by the LAPD or any other agency while being under suspicion for the Tate murders?

Col, please respond. I would really like to know.

I had always felt Debra was a victim and defended her. After reading this Blog and finding out a lot of things. I changed my mind.
Makes you wonder if August 09,1969 would have turned out different for a lot of people if not for Debra's part in that night.

Col,

I like it when you get arrogant with these idiots. It is funny. You almost have to because there is so much BS with this case.

Debra does seem like a big joke to me. Patti and her mother Doris seemed like class acts.
